MediaCom nets £35m Tempur Sealy brief

MediaCom has picked up the $50 million (£35 million) media account for the US bed manufacturer Tempur Sealy International across Europe and Asia-Pacific.

After winning a competitive pitch, the WPP agency will run Tempur Sealy’s media buying and planning business across 16 new markets, including the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Australia, Japan and Korea.

MediaCom said a focus will be on improving the effectiveness of the bedding company’s digital investment, including search and paid social.

UM previously held the account for Tempur, which makes mattresses, pillows and other sleep products.

MediaCom is adding Europe and Asia-Pacific to the North America business, which it won in 2014.
