MediaCom TMB has been awarded the £4 million media planning and buying task of the brewer and pub chain, Greene King, following a competitive pitch.
The review came about following Greene King's £182 million acquisition of rival brewer, Morland, in the summer of 1999. MediaCom was Morland's incumbent agency whilst BJK&E handled Greene King.
The final pitch came down to a two way shoot between the incumbents following the early round elimination of Universal McCann and Optimedia.
The creative account, held by McCann-Erickson, is unaffected by the review.
