MediaVest Manchester scoops £7m MyTravel account

LONDON - MediaVest Manchester has confirmed it has won the £7m media planning and buying for MyTravel Group, the company behind the Going Places and Airtours brands.

The agency replaces ZenithOptimedia, which resigned the account in April, and the appointment follows an initial chemistry period that saw MediaVest Manchester develop an integrated strategy for the launch of this year's Airtours Summer Sun brochure and for MyTravel's cruise brand Sun Cruise.

Paul Catlow, a director of MediaVest Manchester, said: "It's a testament to the strength of our offering in attracting major blue chip advertisers such as MyTravel back to the regions. Airtours was one of our foundation clients when the agency started, so it's great to be working with them once again."

Robin Parry, the Airtours Holidays & Going Places marketing director, said: "We are delighted to be working with MediaVest Manchester. They have quickly demonstrated that they can add value to our marketing communication plans, have a strong strategic approach to our demanding business and their account team is great to work with".
