MediaVest’s Rubins quits for managing partner role at MSc

The media strategy consultancy, MSc, has appointed Darren Rubins as managing partner, to work alongside the agency’s founding managing partner, Louise Jones.

The media strategy consultancy, MSc, has appointed Darren Rubins as

managing partner, to work alongside the agency’s founding managing

partner, Louise Jones.



Rubins, a planning director at MediaVest, will join the agency in the

spring. He will take on responsibilty for providing the agency with a

greater client focus, as well as sharing the responsibilities of running

MSc alongside Jones.



Jones, who has been seeking a partner for six months, said: ’We have

been building the company quickly over the last few years and the

climate is perfect for a company specialising in media strategy.



’Darren is people-focused and clever, which is exactly what I need to

move the company on and achieve great things.’



Rubins worked with Jones at Still Price Lintas in the early 90s. He has

been at Media-Vest for four years and was promoted from associate

director to planning director last year. Previously, he worked for

MediaCom as an account manager.



MSc is a joint venture between the media agency, New PHD, and the

creative agency, Partners BDDH. Its key clients include Bradford &

Bingley, British Midland, Mercedes, Ski, Talking Pages, Yell.com and the

Co-operative Wholesale Society.



Rubins said: ’The company is well placed to offer an independent but

informed view on media. It has a great client base and has a bright team

of people.’
