- Megalomedia, the media holding company owned by Maurice Saatchi, has appointed Richard Glynn as its new managing director.
Glynn, who will become the company's first managing director, joins from marketing communications firm, Caribiner International, where he was corporate development director. Previously the company had only a chief executive, in Christopher Parker.
The appointment of Glynn marks a new stage in the development of Megalomedia, which says it has plans to become one of the UK's leading networks of media and new-media businesses.
Glynn's primary role will be to help identify, negotiate and implement suitable acquisitions for Megalomedia to further this strategy. Parker will retain responsibility for the existing businesses.
Megalomedia already owns the Frame Store Group, Forward Publishing and has a minority stake in strategic web consultancy, Webmedia, which recently shed its web production arm and all but 4 of its thirty plus members of staff.
