MG OMD lands brief for Warwick Castle

The Tussauds Group has appointed Manning Gottlieb OMD to handle media planning and buying for its Warwick Castle attraction.

MediaVest Manchester previously held the account. Manning Gottlieb's capture of the business allows it to strengthen its relationship with Tussauds. The agency already holds the business for the Tussauds attractions Alton Towers, Chessington World of Adventures and Thorpe Park.

The consolidation into MG OMD follows a decision by Tussauds to invest more into marketing the Warwick Castle brand, as well as to create efficiency savings.

Alison Hartin, the marketing director at Tussauds, said: "Manning Gottlieb OMD has a great relationship with Tussauds Group. It therefore makes sense for us to work with it and we are looking forward to working together to help develop the Warwick Castle brand."

In October 2004, Tussauds Group completed a review of the creative account for its theme park business, which resulted in the appointment of TBWA\London.
