MGM wins Absolut task

- Manning Gottlieb Media has picked up the £1 million media planning and buying for Absolut Vodka without a pitch. The win follows Carat's resignation of the brand after it landed the centralised media buying for the UDV spirits business.

Additionally, the existing Absolut account director at Carat, James Layfield, will join MGM next week, where he will continue to look after the business. The brand, distributed and marketed in the UK by Seagram, uses MGM's sister shop, TBWA GGT Simons Palmer, for its above-the-line advertising.
