Mitsubishi Motors awards $250m consolidated US account

- Mitsubishi Motors has appointed Deutsch Advertising, New York, to its estimated $250 million consolidated advertising and marketing account following a competitive pitch.

- Mitsubishi Motors has appointed Deutsch Advertising, New York, to its estimated $250 million consolidated advertising and marketing account following a competitive pitch.

Competing agencies were not disclosed but Deutsch won its place on the Mitsubishi roster last year when it was awarded the company's dealership account.

Deutsch will handle the account on an integrated basis, with responsibility for advertising, interactive, direct marketing and hispanic assignments.

The appointment of Deutsch sees four agencies lose their place on the Mitsubishi roster: interactive agency CKS Partners, Portland, Oregon; direct shop, Direct Partners, Santa Monica; design agency the Designory, Santa Monica; and Hispanic, Vald's Zacky Associates, Los Angeles.
