Mother lures Medd from Coca-Cola job to be a new partner

Mother has recruited Andrew Medd, a former client, to become a partner alongside the team of Robert Saville, Stef Calcraft, Libby Brockhoff and Mark Waites.

Mother has recruited Andrew Medd, a former client, to become a

partner alongside the team of Robert Saville, Stef Calcraft, Libby

Brockhoff and Mark Waites.



Medd, a former Coca-Cola marketer, met the team when he was the UK

marketing manager of Fanta, Sprite and Lilt in the UK. Mother was

appointed to handle the Lilt brand last summer.



Since then, Medd has moved to become deputy marketing director of

Coca-Cola Thailand. The Mother team expects to benefit from his

experience of brand marketing both for the agency’s clients and for the

Mother brand itself.



’When I started working with Mother it was clear that they were very

modern and progressive in the way they approached our business. It was

really refreshing, not to say exciting, and I found myself wanting to

get more involved with the company and its future,’ Medd said.



’Being involved at this stage of Mother’s development is something I

couldn’t refuse and is perhaps the only thing that could have lured me

away from Coca-Cola.’



Mother’s clients now include Channel 5, Batchelors Super Noodles,

Kickers, Emap Radio, Lilt and CarLand.



’Andrew fits in brilliantly with the team at Mother. He is a lateral,

creative thinker with an instinct for communications,’ Saville said.



’And, coming in relatively fresh, it’ll be interesting to see what he’ll

do with the Mother brand. Above all, though, it’s going to be fun having

him around.’
