Mothers Against Drunk Driving 'alien' by Saatchi & Saatchi

"Alien" is one of three executions in a Canadian TV campaign for Mothers Against Drunk Driving, urging teenagers not to drive after they have been smoking drugs. The ads eschew a preachy tone for surreal stoner humour -- in "alien", a boy's T-shirt comes to life advising three teenagers who have been smoking pot that they should stay at home and are really in no condition to drive to a party. The other ads, "Rasta" and "papers", also show inanimate objects coming to life to warn against driving under the influence, ending with the strapline: "If you're high, you can't drive." Created by Saatchi & Saatchi Toronto and produced by Reginald Pike.
