Movers: Appointment at The Advertising Standards Authority

The Advertising Standards Authority has hired two new members to serve on its advertising council - the body that adjudicates on advertising complaints.

Elizabeth Fagan, the group media director for DSG International, the owner of the Dixons Group retail chain, will join the council as an advertising industry member. Fagan joined Dixons Group in 1996 as the group advertising director and has worked in a number of positions before being appointed to her current role this year. The second new ASA council member is Professor Gareth Jones, the chair of Christian Theology at Canterbury Christ Church University. He joins as an independent member. Fagan and Jones will adjudicate on broadcast and non-broadcast complaints.
