Movers: Appointment at Metro International

Tom Symonds is to join Metro International as the managing director of its newly created Metro Interactive and Media division.

Symonds, who was previously a BSkyB executive, spent six years as the director of internet products and services, working on Sky.com and the Sky News website. He will be responsible for developing the global newspaper's digital offering and localising its activities within the 20 countries in which the publisher operates.
