David Foreman, formerly managing director of Katz Radio and sales director of Scottish and Irish Radio Sales, has been appointed a partner at Hamblyn Media Selection, the media recruitment company set up by Steve Hyde, former strategic planning director of Zenith. Foreman’s appointment follows Hamblyn’s recent appointment of Lara Wilson, former managing director of Centre FM in the Midlands, who joined the company last month.

at Hamblyn Media Selection, the media recruitment company set up by

Steve Hyde, former strategic planning director of Zenith. Foreman’s

appointment follows Hamblyn’s recent appointment of Lara Wilson, former

managing director of Centre FM in the Midlands, who joined the company

last month.





The Emap Performance network has taken on two brand managers. Stephanie

Maugham will join the Big City network, and Melanie Whitehead takes a

position at the Magic network. Both appointments are internal; Whitehead

moves from Kiss 100 and Maugham from Metro FM.





Paul Owen has been appointed circulation manager of Attic Futura. Owen

joins the company from Seymour Press, where he was circulation manager

responsible for the Emap Health Care and FT Business accounts. He

previously worked as wholesale account manager for H Bauer and in

distribution at WH Smith. In his new role, Owen will work closely with

the publishing team to streamline distribution and maximise sales.





Wolverhampton radio station 107.7 The Wolf has hired Jane Davies as

sales director. Davies joins from Macclesfield-based Silk FM where she

held a similar position. Before that she worked for Big Fish Marketing

and Beacon Radio. Davies will report to managing director Kieran

McGeary.





Online recruitment website CityJobs.com has taken on Peter Trowell as

sales and marketing director. Trowell joins the company from French

broadcaster Canal+, where he was sales and marketing director of the

new-media division.





Estates Gazette Interactive has appointed Ted Townsend new-media

business manager. Townsend’s role will be to seek alliances,

acquisitions and investments for the online property site. Estates

Gazette is the UK’s largest commercial property magazine read and is by

more than 100,000 people. EGI, the magazine’s online arm, was launched

in June 1996 and generates more than 1.5 million page impressions a

month. It is published by Reed Business Information.





Andrew King has been appointed sales director of Haymarket Business

Publications’ medical division. Before his promotion, King was group ad

manager of MIMS and Medeconomics. He has spent ten years at Haymarket.

In addition, Rob Yates has been promoted from ad manager on Medeconomics

to advertisement manager on GP.





Jo Pagett and Duncan Ferguson have taken on new roles at Future

Publishing as part of the company’s restructure. Both become

communications managers in the games division, dealing with promotions

and advertising across the games titles. Ferguson was previously group

ad manager in the music division, while Pagett was assistant publisher

in the games division.





Simon Crisp, account director in the sales department at MTV UK, has

quit the company to start a sports net venture, to be called

SportsForYou.com.
