MPG poaches OMD's Kate Cox to take role with Catalyst system

The Media Planning Group has poached OMD UK's associate director of

strategy, Kate Cox, to take a place on the agency's board with the new

role of strategic planning director.

Cox will be asked to focus on MPG's Catalyst brand, the client

communications system developed in London and subsequently rolled out

across the network.

She will work alongside Marie Oldham and Simon Sadie, the managing

partners responsible for Catalyst. The move leaves the UK managing

director, Marc Mendoza, to oversee Media Contacts as well as the main

agency.

Cox has been with OMD since 1998, running the Coty & Lancaster account

and the Budweiser business which has since been handed to the brewer's

dedicated media shop, Busch Media. Last year, she spent six months on

secondment at Boots, taking the role as the head of media.

"We are absolutely delighted that Kate has decided to work with us at

MPG," Mendoza said.

"I am positive her experience working on interna-tional brands will

prove to be an enormous asset in further developing the Catalyst brand

as an even more effective tool."
