The win adds to Walker's retail credentials - it already handles the Dixons Stores Group, Marks & Spencer, Blockbuster and KFC accounts and has been shortlisted to pitch for WH Smith.
The Multiyork account was previously held by Carat, which concentrated the media strategy around newspaper and colour supplement advertising and TV spot advertising, promoting sale activity. However, the most recent national campaign offered consumers a free set of covers on purchase.
The creative agency for Multiyork is Ware Anthony Rust, based in Cambridge.
Its tenure of the account is unaffected by the appointment of Walker Media.
