New agency places freelance creatives with foreign shops

An agency aiming to supply freelance British art directors, copywriters and designers to clients abroad has been set up by a former UK copywriter, Daniel Wallace.

Wallace claims The Collective is the first agency of its type in Europe, with 30 creatives on the books, including the Cannes gold winner Alex Paton. Wallace is currently placing them in domestic agencies in The Netherlands.

The Collective has offices in Amsterdam and Eindhoven, and an office in Brussels will open shortly. Other potential markets include Eastern Europe and Scandinavia.

Wallace said: "I had the idea after realising that there was no central source supplying English copywriters in The Netherlands. When companies or agencies needed freelance help, they'd find one through word of mouth. Now, they can find the help they need by looking at the experience of the freelances we have on our website."
