New joint creative directors for Bates Interactive

- Bates Interactive has appointed Phil Tarver and Joe Dear as joint creative directors. The two replace Patrick Semple who has left the agency.

Art director Dear has been with Bates Interactive for three years and has most recently been working on the agency's new website for Number 10 Downing Street, as well as work for the Foreign Office and Cable & Wireless.

Tarver, also an art director, has been with Bates for two years working on Shell, BAT and War Child. Both Tarver and Dear previously worked in publishing, and both have worked in the past with agency managing director, Michael Crossman.

Crossman said: "We now have such a high volume of work going through that it makes sense to appoint joint creative directors. Phil and Joe have contributed hugely to the campaigns which have given us creative headlines over the past couple of years and will do a fantastic job heading a fast-growing department."

Tarver and Dear are already planning to hire more creative people to handle the agency's fast-growing workload.
