The figures are based upon a sample taken before recent events in the US

so this table does not reflect the huge surge of page impressions on

news sites in recent days. The major change in the table is the fall out

of the top ten of the Teletext site. BBC keeps its massive lead at the

top of the list as it continues to be the most popular site for general

news updates. Its number of page impressions were up 1.5 million.

Ananova showed the most significant rise - up 3.8 million to 19.8

million.
