New Scientist to provide programming on Discovery

LONDON - New Scientist is making its first foray into advertiser-supplied programming with 'New Scientist Reports' to be aired on the Discovery Channel.

The bulletin will air on Tuesdays, repeated throughout the evening and on Wednesdays, reporting on science and technology news.

'New Scientist Reports' will also have an interactive platform on Sky Digital, providing additional information on stories and competitions. It will also act as a means of driving new subscribers to the magazine and raising awareness of the New Scientist brand.

"'New Scientist Reports' will scan the horizons with the insight and foresight that make New Scientist one of the most trusted magazines in the world," Natasha Ward, publisher of New Scientist, said.
