NEWS: Bean Andrews wins New Covent Garden Soup job from BBH

The New Covent Garden Soup Company has ended a three-month search for a new agency with the appointment of Bean Andrews Norways Cramphorn.

The New Covent Garden Soup Company has ended a three-month search for a

new agency with the appointment of Bean Andrews Norways Cramphorn.

BANC will take the reins of the eight-year-old soup company’s account

with immediate effect to catch the start of the main soup season. A

separate media appointment is expected soon.

BANC won the business after informal discussions with the client. It is

believed at least three other agencies were tilting for the task.

The account had been handled on a full-service basis by Bartle Bogle

Hegarty for three years but it resigned the business in June citing

‘unresolved remuneration talks’ and the client’s intention to take some

advertising in-house. During the past year, Covent Garden Soups spent

just over pounds 400,000 on above-the-line advertising, according to

Register-MEAL.

The win rounds off a busy summer for the agency, which launched out of

the ashes of Bean MC in May.
