The agency’s chief executive, Mark Goldstone, said: ‘Arnold was one of
the real characters of British advertising, and will be truly missed
by all his friends and colleagues.’
Bowman’s career in advertising began in the early 60s at Media Four, one

After Royds, Bowman had spells at a number of leading advertising
agencies. In 1984 he joined the General Advertising Company of London,
where he continued to develop his focus on healthcare.
WCRS Healthcare was set up with Mark Goldstone, also from General
Advertising, in September 1989.

strategy and planning, but moved into copywriting at the larger
agencies, and has also been involved in new business.
Bowman’s funeral was held on 12 June in Brighton.
