The agency’s brief is to support new and future product launches in the
UK. The latest is the ZDS GT Notebook, which will be promoted in
national and IT press.
Frontline first pitched against a number of unnamed agencies four months
ago. It was then invited to repitch at ZDS’s headquarters in Paris at
the end of last year.
The account was previously handled on a full-service basis by Roose and
Partners. Media was handled by TMD Carat, before being aligned into
Roose and Partners around six months ago.
The win is one of several IT successes for Frontline Media in recent
weeks. Shortly before scooping ZDS, it picked up the French IT giant,
Bull’s, software and entertainment divisions.
Frontline’s media director, John Nichols, said: ‘We have done well in
this area because we used to handle IBM on a pan-European basis when it
was at GGK.’
Nichols and his fellow director, Paul Prince, worked on IBM before the
client consolidated all its advertising into Ogilvy and Mather.
They left GGK to form Frontline Media in January last year. The agency’s
biggest account is National and Provincial, followed by United Friendly.
