Dominic Mills, the editor of Campaign since January 1991, is to step up

to the new role of editorial director. He will be succeeded by Stefano

Hatfield, the current deputy editor.

Hatfield becomes editor with immediate effect. Caroline Marshall, the

current features editor, will succeed him as deputy editor.

Mills, who previously worked at Reuters and Euromoney Publications, will

also be editorial director of Haymarket Publishing’s monthly magazine,

Creative Technology. He will continue to write for Campaign and be

involved with the magazine’s media coverage and in the development of

the brand.

Hatfield, who has worked for the design consultancy, Imagination, in

addition to spending two spells at Campaign, said: ‘Dominic hands over a

magazine that has never been stronger editorially, nor had a better

team.’

He continued: ‘I hope to be able to continue his work in coaxing the

media and advertising industries out of their insularity and suffocating

nostalgia. I also want Campaign to be an even better place to work than

it has ever been.’

Mills commented: ‘Stef and I have worked very closely for the past two

years. He and Caroline are the perfect team to take over.’
