Miriam Jordan Keane, the high-flying Saatchi and Saatchi worldwide

account director for Procter and Gamble’s beauty division, has been

poached by Grey Advertising to head its pounds 30ÿ20million UK SmithKline

Beecham business.

Jordan Keane, 35, resigned from Saatchis last Thursday after five years

with the agency and two as a Charlotte Street client. She has been

brought in by Grey following the takeover of Sterling Health by

SmithKline, which has resulted in the agency’s worldwide SmithKline

billings increasing from pounds 100 million to pounds 150 million. Her

appointment leaves Grey’s vice-chairman, Frank Cockman, free to

concentrate on the worldwide account.

Jordan Keane commented: ‘My home has been Heathrow for too long, and I

wanted to be part of the management of a local London agency, where I

will be part of the new-business drive and agency vision.’

Nigel Sharrocks, Grey’s managing director, who first met Jordan Keane

just three weeks ago, added. ‘It is terrific to be able to attract

people of Miriam’s calibre to come and manage such an important

account.’
