Kelly Weedon Shute has clinched a place on the Unilever roster by

beating BMP DDB Needham to the pounds 2.5 million pan-European Sensiq

account.

Sensiq is a make-up range owned by Rimmel Chicogo - a Unilever company.

Kelly Weedon Shute also pitched against Lintas Sweden and two unknown

agencies for the business.

The campaign, to break across Europe in late spring, will promote the

Sensiq name and launch a series of brand developments and extensions,

including new packaging and products.

David Shute, a partner at Kelly Weedon Shute, commented: ‘It is a major

victory for us to get on to the Unilever roster, and it is especially

important to beat such good agencies.’

The ideas presented by the five agencies were all tested in research

projects across the UK and Europe. Shute said Kelly Weedon Shute’s ideas

were ‘outstandingly preferred’.

Shute was unable to give details of the planned poster and press

campaign, but promised it would be ‘different’ and have an international

flavour. He stressed that Sensiq was particularly concerned about

telling the truth and not making exaggerated claims.

Sensiq was launched in the UK in the late 80s in an advertising campaign

through BMP. It is now making a return to above-the-line advertising,

having concentrated on direct mail and sales promotions over the last

year.

What better way to kick off Campaign's relaunch than with another think piece on the current failings of our industry, written by an embittered, pretentious creative who misses "the way things used to be"...
