The Edinburgh agency, Baillie Marshall, has won first prize in the Royal

Mail ‘Big Ideas’ competition run in conjunction with Campaign.

The national competition invited creative directors at ad agencies to

answer an above-the-line brief for an existing client using below-the-

line techniques.

Baillie Marshall won the prize of two tickets to the Atlanta Olympics

for its Miller Homes campaign, promoting home sales in Beechmount Park,

Murrayfield.

The winning entry took the form of an invitation to visitors to one of

Miller Homes’ most prestigious town-house developments, with the

headline: ‘We thought as you had dropped by, you might like to stay the

weekend.’

The idea was that potential buyers should stay on in the show home and

get a feel for the house before committing themselves to purchase.

The work was devised by Al Chisholm, the agency’s creative director, and

written by Dawn Kermani.
