book publisher, Parragon Publishing.



The agency triumphed in a three-way pitch for the Bristol-based

publisher’s first national ad campaign, which will include commercials

for titles such as Superstars of the Premier League.



Parragon claims to be the most successful specialist promotional

publisher in the UK, with titles covering areas including gardening,

cookery and sport. To date, its products have been sold through

supermarkets such as Tesco.



According to Team Saatchi’s chief executive, Mike Parker, the agency has

been charged with helping to expand the company’s sales channels into

traditional high-street book retailers such as W. H. Smith.



Parragon expects pounds 58 million sales this year, equivalent to

selling about 30 million books in the UK. Its most popular series sell

about 1.7 million copies a year.



Guy Parr, the managing director of Parragon, said: ‘Our market strategy

of publishing quality titles at low prices has made us one of the

fastest growing publishers in the country. Team Saatchi came up with a

strong creative idea that will project our position in the marketplace.’



Zenith Media’s sister operation, Equinox Communications, has scooped the

media planning and buying. The national TV advertising will be taken

through the line with magazine inserts and in-store support.
