Media Solutions London has scooped the media planning and buying

business for Fuller’s brewery after a three-way pitch for the pounds 1.5

million account.

Media Solutions pitched for the business against MediaCom and Frontline

Media, and was told this week that it had secured the business.

The media review was sparked by Fuller’s decision to mount a major

assault on the bitter market. The company plans to launch a brand-

building campaign for its London Pride brand, and has been overhauling

its advertising arrangements in anticipation of the new push.

Peter Williamson, the managing director of Media Solutions, said:

‘Fuller’s is about to re-enter a highly competitive advertising

marketplace. The brief demanded new ideas and a fresh approach.’

The creative agency, Donner Cardwell Hawkins, picked up the Fuller’s

creative task earlier this summer (Campaign, 21 June) and the first work

from the agency is expected to be unveiled within the next few weeks.

John Roberts, the marketing director of Fuller’s, said that Doner

Cardwell had developed a ‘highly creative campaign to really ignite

London Pride’.

He added: ‘It was essential to work with a media agency that really

understood the brand and knew how to exploit the creative work to its

full extent.’
