The new sponsorship deal is reported to be the biggest to date for Nissan, although the value of the deal has not been revealed.
Nissan will become an official worldwide partner of UEFA from the 2014-15 season through to the 2017-18 season.
Current sponsor packages are thought to be worth more than £45m, the BBC reports.
Nissan will receive extensive rights and branding opportunities around Champions League matches.
Roel de Vreis, global head of marketing at Nissan, said: "Europe's most prestigious football competition will be an important global platform for Nissan, and our aim is to show fans all over the world the excitement of both football and our cars."
Current sponsors of the Champions League include MasterCard. Heineken and Sony.
Nissan will also sponsor the Uefa Super Cup, which is played each year between the winners of the Champions League and the Europa League.
