Nokia marketing chief Will Harris to leave company

Nokia marketing stalwart Will Harris has left his role as head of marketing for South East Asia Pacific, following the relocation of the mobile phone company's headquarters in the region.

Harris is still employed by Nokia but is looking at other opportunities outside the company, which he joined five years ago, initially as UK marketing director. The head of marketing role involves responsibility for 20 markets in Asia.

Nokia is moving its Asia Pacific headquarters from Singapore, where Harris was based, to Beijing. As a result, Harris has returned to the UK.

Harris has spent most of his career in telecoms marketing, most notably overseeing the rebranding of BT Cellnet to O2.

However, he also had a spell as marketing director of the Conservative Party, which at the time was led by Michael Howard.

He started his career agency-side, working at Lowe Howard-Spink as a graduate trainee, before moving to WCRS and on to Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO.
