NTL has launched an advertising sales website designed to attract
agencies and local clients who are ’overlooking’ the medium of cable

each area, as well as identifying which television channels they
The system contains an online interactive UK cable network map, which
identifies cable operators by town and postcode and provides a list of
the advertising opportunities in each area.
Peter Lilley, sales director at NTL, said: ’Although planning and buying
in national, regional and local media is the daily bread and butter of
media agencies, the advertising potential of cable TV has been largely
overlooked by the UK media industry.
’By using cable TV, advertisers can combine the power of TV advertising
with the geographic targeting of the local press, and the demographic
targeting of their selected channel. Visiting the site will give users
access to a fast one-stop library of information about the medium of
cable TV and will pinpoint the most suitable space to book,’ he added.
