Omnicom names new chairman of TBWA Worldwide

- Omnicom has appointed Lee Clow as chairman/chief creative officer of TBWA Worldwide.

Clow, who replaces the outgoing chairman Bill Tragos, was previously chairman/chief creative officer of TBWA/Chiat Day. He has been involved with some of the most respected and highly awarded advertising campaigns in the past twenty years including Apple Computers "1984" spot and Nike's "Air Jordan" spots.

Clow has also won several Gold Lions at the Cannes International Advertising Festival and was named 1997 creative executive of the year by USA Today.

Michael Greenlees, president and CEO of TBWA Worldwide, said; "Lee being named chairman underscores our new network's true uniqueness - our ability to build tomorrow's brands with powerful ideas that change the rules - and I can't think of anyone who better exemplifies that quality."
