It's debut is being backed by a £1 million launch campaign that will aim to establish onefootball.com as a one-stop-shop for football fans over Europe. The site includes a travel booking facility offering flights, match tickets and accommodation.

The campaign will be co-ordinated by marketing communications agency Billington Cartmell. It will comprise national press, magazine, poster and online work.

The site, which launches this week, is founded by two former journalists, Richard Ellis and James Allen. The two will assume the roles of chief executive and editorial director respectively.

Ellis was previously -managing editor of the Sunday Times and deputy editor of Sporting Life. Allen also worked at Sporting Life, The Times and The Independent.
