Five agencies are vying for the Government’s pounds 3 million

Commission for the New Towns account with a brief to encourage home

construction and business investment on surplus greenfield land.

Osprey Park, which has held the full-service account for the past four

years, is contesting the business with FCA!, Golley Slater,

McCann-Erickson Birmingham and the Brahm agency in Leeds.

The pitch, which includes direct marketing and relationship marketing

assignments, is part of a statutory review of the commission’s

promotional activities.

All five shops pitched last week and await a decision by the

commission’s marketing sub-committee which meets early next month.

They were shortlisted from a total of 37 agencies that tendered for the

work before Christmas.

The commission is responsible for the disposal of development land in 19

new towns
