-- Destinex.com, an internet travel start-up headed by the former Going Places managing director, Tony Bennett, has appointed Tempus-owned new media consultancy, Outrider, and media agency BJK&E to handle interactive strategy and media.
The appointment is the first of a number of dotcom projects that Outrider and BJK&E will work on together. BJK&E is a joint venture between Tempus and True North.
Destinex.com will also look for an advertising agency, but not until its media and internet strategy is in place.
Destinex is being positioned as a complete online travel store that will offer a full range of services. It is currently in talks with with major airlines and hotel groups.
David Stubley, managing director of Outrider, said: "We're excited about this partnership. Outrider and BJK&E have a shared vision for the future, which was amplified during our collaboration on winning the launch/ development brief from of Destinex. The future is about pooling the skills of on/offline specialists. I've no doubt this will be the first of many new projects for our two agencies."
