The Partners London tops UK Design Lion shortlist

Out of 18 shortlisted entries from the UK, The Partners London earned five, three of which were for its work for the London Symphony Orchestra.

The Partners designed a visual identity for the London Symphony Orchestra's 2017/18 season to tie in with Sir Simon Rattle take the post of music director. 

The consultancy hired digital artist Tobias Gremmler to create a series of animated films (above) based on footage of Rattle conducting. 

The Partners were also named on the shortlist for work done for The Butcher The Baker and Meti International. 

AKQA London has two entries on the shortlist, both for "Strike night featuring the most intelligent goal in the game" for Nike. 

Companies in the US picked up 58 nominations on the Design shortlist, led by Ogilvy & Mather with eight nominations – seven of which were for its New York office. 

R/GA earned six, three of which were for its work for Samsung. 

Next most-listed was FCB Chicago with five nominations followed by Snap with four nominations for Spectacles.
