- The pharmaceutical company, Pfizer, has appointed Paling Walters Targis to handle the UK launch campaign for Viagra, the already renowned drug for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

The London based healthcare advertising agency will develop a trade campaign for the prescription-only drug, which has already featured in a string of headlines in the UK even though it has yet to be released here.

No date has yet been confirmed for the drug's UK debut. Pfizer is awaiting a government license, which is expected to be granted shortly.

Martin Standley, the medical business director of Paling Walters Targis, said: "We are working closely with the team at Pfizer to support the enormous potential for this brand as well as removing any misconceptions generated by the lay press interest."
