Almond has worked for the BBC since June 2012 and counts the launch of the corporation’s ‘For all of us’ campaign, along with the continued progress of myBBC, its journey to personalisation, as recent highlights.

While he wouldn’t be one to shy away from a chief executive role, Almond says that it would need to be "in the right organisation". He adds that he would like to be remembered for making a positive difference to the organisations and people he has worked with.
