Philips Asia Pacific integrated task goes to Ogilvy & Mather

- Ogilvy & Mather has sealed a major new relationship with Philips Electronics Asia Pacific, which has appointed O&M Asia Pacific to work on a fully integrated support programme for its lighting business across the region.

The regional integrated account will involve O&M Public Relations, direct marketing agency OgilvyOne, and O&M Promotions working together in India, China and the markets of South East Asia.

Philips Lighting Vice President, Asia Pacific, Kenneth Yue, described the new partnership as a step forward in developing Philips' relationships with its consumers in the region.

Tim Isaac O&M Regional Director of Worldwide Client Services, said: "We're delighted with this opportunity to work with such a renowned and respected household name as Philips. This win pays tribute to O&M's capacity to co-ordinate integrated communications programmes across the region."

Philips is the leading lighting products manufacturer in the region, with a strong presence in every market. The appointment follows several meetings with Philips Lighting's regional management, as well as a project plan presentation to the Philips Lighting regional executive committee.
