The pitches for Dixons Carphone’s £90 million merged media planning and buying account took place this week. Walker Media, the Dixons Retail partner, and M/SIX, which holds the Carphone Warehouse business, were hoping to beat each other and MediaCom to retain the account. The review was called after the £3.9 billion "merger of equals" between Dixons Retail and Carphone Warehouse.
Public Health England has launched a review of its planning business, currently handled by MEC. The Government’s planning roster agencies have been invited to pitch for the account. They include Carat, Manning Gottlieb OMD, MEC, MediaCom, Mindshare and UM London.
