The shortlisted agencies - Saatchi & Saatchi New York (the incumbent), Bartle Bogle Hegarty and 18 Feet & Rising - are pitching for the business next week. A result is expected the following week.

Meanwhile, Tesco's £100 million ad pitch is moving closer to the checkout. The shortlisted agencies, VCCP, TBWA\Group and Wieden & Kennedy, had their briefing on Tuesday. The big pitch is now scheduled to take place at the end of July in a process handled by Oystercatchers.

Agencies pitching for the BBC's media business have been told that they will be informed of the results in individual ten-minute slots on the afternoon of 20 June. Those media executives who will be in Cannes will have to take a moment out from the seminars and the sunshine to hear the news.

Agencies involved in the Experian media review have been told that they will find out the result on Friday (15 June). Carat, PHD and Starcom are hoping they have done enough to prise the account from the incumbent, Maxus.

It is thought a number of media agencies have passed up the chance to pitch for Arcadia, the owner of Topshop, BHS and Wallis. The incumbent, Carat, is understood to have taken the decision not to repitch, while others are said to have been put off by rumours that a chunk of the buying will be handled in-house.
