Pitch update

ITV's marketing chief David Pemsel is not wasting any time; having ruled the Dare/Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy combo out of the running last week, he's struck Beattie McGuinness Bungay off the shortlist this week.

The pitch, which is being overseen by the AAR, is now being contested by Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Mother and DDB London.

Also being handled by the AAR, Kerry Foods is expected to announce a result next week. BMB, VCCP and Isobel are competing for the £5 million account, which covers the Wall's and Richmond Pork Sausages brands.

Meanwhile, Dyson has reduced its list to two contenders; Leagas Delaney and Wieden & Kennedy are going head to head.

Budweiser's less-than-urgent pitch has progressed slightly. Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R has been knocked out, leaving Fallon and DDB London to battle it out.

There are unconfirmed reports that the Home Office's anti-drink-drive shortlist is BBH, Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, DDB and VCCP.

Aer Lingus, also through the AAR, is expected to announce its agency soon. Mustoes, Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners and MCBD are in the running.

Finally ... South Korea's tourist board is feeling merry as there have been unusual levels of UK travellers to its shores. The reason: the LG Electronics pitch, being contested by BBH, DDB London, TBWA\London and Saatchi & Saatchi.
