Premier Foods hires Fallon and DLKW to pounds 6m business

Premier International Foods has appointed Fallon and Delaney Lund

Knox Warren & Partners to its pounds 6 million creative account.

The two agencies scooped the business after Premier decided to reduce

its roster following a five-way pitch handled through the AAR.

Other agencies pitching included WARL, the incumbent that handled HP and

Smash, Roose & Partners and Leith London.

DLKW will continue to handle the Cadbury's hot chocolate drinks, but has

extended its portfolio to include Chivers marmalade, the Hartley's and

Rose's preserves and Haywards pickles.

Fallon has won the pounds 3.5 million Typhoo account, and has also

picked up London Fruit & Herb tea, HP Beans and Smash instant mash


Mother resigned the Typhoo account in March owing to creative

differences over the future direction of the brand. The agency's

decision followed a change in company ownership and departures from the

original client team.

Ivor Harrison, the group marketing director of Premier International

Foods, said: "All agencies developed strong proposals but DLKW and

Fallon struck us with their surprising new insights and I believe we now

have credible, motivating messages to bring to life."
