Proudfoot prepares to leave MediaCom for MindShare post

MindShare Worldwide has poached MediaCom’s Mark Proudfoot to be a managing partner.

MindShare Worldwide has poached MediaCom’s Mark Proudfoot to be a

managing partner.



Proudfoot has been MediaCom’s international strategic planning director

for four years. He has also worked for DMB&B - now MediaVest - in Asia,

where he ran the Coca-Cola, Mastercard and Philips accounts.



He was hired by Nick Emery, the global strategic development partner,

who recently took over global client services from Ron de Pear (Media

Business, 25 April). Emery intends to make more changes to MindShare’s

international structure in the near future, such as integrating client

teams in London and New York.



Proudfoot, who is one of six worldwide managing partners, replaces

Darren Fawcett who has emigrated to Australia.



As well as working across a number of global clients, such as IBM, Ford,

Kellogg’s and Kodak, Proudfoot will be responsible for the

Kimberly-Clark and Mattel accounts. He joins MindShare Worldwide this

week.



Emery said: ’MindShare is committed to having the best international

media leaders. It is important that we have people on board who are not

just international co-ordinators, but global leaders looking after the

backbone of the business.’



He added: ’Mark is a very experienced and talented media professional

who has worked in both Asia and Europe. He will be a great addition to

the team in London.’
