LONDON - We asked members of the public what they thought about the hard-hitting ad for children's charity Barnardo's.

Ad watchdogs are probing the ad, which features a girl being hit, mugging someone, and then taking drugs.

The spot, "break the cycle", by Bartle Bogle Hegarty, is aimed at showing how child abuse can lead to a downward spiral for the victim.

Last week, the Advertising Standards Authority confirmed that it had received more than 400 complaints about the ad.
