Publicis London poaches Tribal's Dowgierd to lead digital

Publicis London has appointed Phil Dowgierd as its managing director of digital.

Dowgierd joins from Tribal Worldwide Sydney, where he was the managing director.

Reporting to Karen Buchanan, the chief executive, Dowgierd will lead the agency’s integrated digital work across all clients. He will sit on the management board.

Guy Wieynk, Publicis’ group chief executive of the UK and Nordics, said: "Phil brings a unique perspective on how to deliver digital solutions at scale for clients. He is a great talent who builds strong teams that deliver groundbreaking work."

Before moving to Australia, Dowgierd was a client partner at AKQA, running a 60-strong team on the global Nissan account. He has also worked at Grand Union, Fallon, FullSix Group and M&C Saatchi.

Dowgierd said: "Everyone can see Publicis UK is evolving and I am delighted to be able to play my part within Publicis London.

"Our business is about ideas but, today, they exist where technology, data and creativity meet.

"Publicis is best-prepared to harness this given its flat structure and single P&L."
