Publicis Blueprint, the customer publishing arm of Publicis, has created the mini magazine, which will be inserted in copies of Now and Closer on September 11.
The 16-page title, Family Life, will reach an audience of 1.2m readers. It will appear in the format of a lifestyle magazine that includes elements such as an agony-aunt problem page and characters revealing wedding day secrets.
Corrine Hollingworth, Five's controller of drama, said: "We are proud of our home-grown soap and intend to maximise its potential with increased investment in production. This magazine is a great way to target the audiences we are after."
The launch of Family Life follows Granada's decision to publish a one-off 'Coronation Street' magazine this Christmas. John Brown Citrus will publish the title.
