Quentin Morrissey, the production company set up by the Men
Behaving Badly stars, Caroline Quentin and Neil Morrissey, has closed
its doors after less than a year in business.
It is thought that Morrissey and Quentin have been too busy with their
own film, television and theatre careers to run the production
The commercials arm of the company was run by Nikki Welch who, with
Morrissey, left Smith Jones Brown Cassie (now Smith Jones Campbell) to
set up Quentin Morrissey (Campaign, 31 October 1997).
Since the company opened, Morrissey’s commercial directing career has
all but dried up. The only Quentin Morrissey-produced commercial
featured in Campaign was a charity ad for McCann-Erickson, directed free
by Stephen Ward for Manchester’s Christie Hospital.
Richard Sloggett, who had planned to join Quentin Morrissey, will remain
with Will van der Vlugt Films.
