Rapier hires AIS's award-winning creative duo

LONDON - Rapier is to boost its creative offering with the appointment of an award-winning senior creative team from Archibald Ingall Stretton.

Copywriter Neil Harris and art director Richard Gorton-Lee were the first team to work at AIS and have won accolades for their work on Skoda and BMW.

The junior creative team of Deb James and Chris Lapham are to move in the opposite direction. The pair had won awards for its work on AXA and Channel 4.

John Townshend, Rapier's creative director, said: "Richard and Neil are a team who proved that they are premier league in creative terms. Hopefully, we'll allow them to spread their wings here. I can assure you Steve Stretton and I aren't running a creative exchange programme."

In addition, AIS has appointed Alistair Bryan from Craik Jones Watson Mitchell Voelkel to head its BMW account.
