- Reuters, the world's leading news and financial information company, has unveiled an £8 million global advertising campaign in an effort to raise its brand in the face of heightened competition.

The campaign, which launches tomorrow, comes as Reuters faces a damaging and ongoing US court case, in which it stands accused of stealing information from rival Bloomberg.

Reuters currently holds about 40 per cent of the estimated $6bn market in the global supply of financial information.

The campaign, through agency BMP DDB, seeks to highlight Reuters' ability to deliver timely and relevant information in an increasingly information overloaded world.

The campaign will comprise six press advertisements, which will run in titles such as The Financial Times and The Economist.

One execution shows a ladybird climbing a blade of grass and the headline: "We know what you're looking for".

The campaign forms part of the company's annual £26 million marketing budget, and will also promote services such as Reuters Television, Business Briefing, Dealing 2000-2, Risk Management and Off-Trading floor products.
